Chiropractic Intern
Jamie Trieste is a chiropractic intern at Spinal and Sports Care, supporting sport, movement, and rehabilitation-based care.
Jamie Trieste is a chiropractic intern currently completing the final year of a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science at Macquarie University and will be progressing directly into a Master of Chiropractic upon graduation. Jamie has a strong interest in sports performance, injury management, and athlete development, with a focus on applying evidence-based principles across both clinical and high-performance sporting environments.

Jamie’s background in football has played a central role in shaping this pathway. Having grown up playing soccer, I naturally developed an interest in coaching, which led me to complete the Football NSW B Diploma. Through this program, Jamie has gained valuable insight under the guidance of elite coaches from NPL, A-League, and national team environments.

Over the past three years, Jamie has worked within the APIA Girls Youth program and was appointed Head Coach of the APIA Under 14 NPL 1 Girls team in 2026. This role involves developing athletes within a structured, high-performance youth pathway, with an emphasis on technical development, physical preparation, and long-term athlete growth.

Alongside coaching, Jamie maintains a strong commitment to personal training and athletic development, regularly applying evidence-based training principles. This interest has been further strengthened through extensive international travel to England, Wales, Portugal, and Malaysia, where Jamie gained firsthand exposure to sport science testing, rehabilitation practices, medical facilities, and elite performance environments. These experiences included observing professional football clubs and national programs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Manchester United, Liverpool, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest, and the Wales National Team.

Jamie has also gained exposure to elite football environments through involvement with APIA First Grade Men’s and Women’s programs, working alongside athletes and multidisciplinary performance staff, including physiotherapists, chiropractors, and strength and conditioning coaches. In addition, Jamie has supported community and charity sporting events such as City2Surf and The Big Spin for Ronald McDonald House, contributing to event support and athlete care.

At Spinal and Sports Care, Jamie supports the clinical team across assessment, rehabilitation, and exercise-based care, bringing a strong understanding of sport, movement, and athlete development. Jamie’s approach is enthusiastic, evidence-based, and focused on supporting both everyday patients and athletes in a collaborative healthcare environment.
