Who we Treat
Elderly Care
As people age, conditions such as back pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, and joint degeneration can gradually limit the activities they have always enjoyed. At Spinal & Sports Care, we understand how frustrating this can be. Our physiotherapy and chiropractic teams work closely with elderly patients to manage pain, improve mobility, and restore confidence in movement so they can remain independent and active for as long as possible.
Mobility is at the heart of our approach. We focus on improving joint range of motion, muscle strength, balance, and circulation because we know that even small gains in physical function can have a profound impact on overall quality of life. Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, and we place great emphasis on education so that our elderly patients understand their injuries and feel empowered in their recovery.
A key part of our care involves mobility aids prescription and fitting. Our clinicians are trained to assess, recommend, and correctly fit walking sticks, crutches, walkers, and other mobility devices to ensure they provide maximum support, comfort, and safety. We also guide patients and their families on how to use these aids correctly, whether for short-term rehabilitation or long-term mobility needs. This professional fitting process helps reduce the risk of falls, improves independence, and ensures that each device matches the patient’s physical requirements and lifestyle.
We also provide structured home exercise programs designed to maintain strength, flexibility, and balance outside the clinic. These programs are practical, easy to follow, and created with safety as the top priority so that elderly patients can continue to progress between visits without fear of overexertion or injury.
Our team works closely with Veterans Affairs as well as Home Care Packages (HCP) to ensure eligible patients have access to the care, equipment, and support services they need. This includes facilitating the funding and coordination of physiotherapy, chiropractic care, mobility aids, and exercise programs for those receiving government-subsidised home care services.
All our clinics have been designed with accessibility in mind, featuring ramps, lifts, and wide treatment areas to accommodate mobility aids and to make every visit as easy and stress-free as possible.
At Spinal & Sports Care, our goal is to help elderly patients stay active, independent, and confident in their daily lives, using a combination of evidence-based treatment, mobility support, and compassionate care.
