Marcus
Physiotherapy Student Intern
Marcus is a Physiotherapy Student Intern at Spinal and Sports Care, currently completing his undergraduate physiotherapy degree and gaining supervised clinical experience.
Marcus joins Spinal and Sports Care as a Physiotherapy Student Intern and is currently completing his undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy. He is undertaking his internship to further develop his clinical skills and gain hands-on experience within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Marcus brings a strong background in football, which has shaped his interest in injury management, rehabilitation, and performance-based care. His involvement in sports has fostered a strong appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and the physical demands on athletes at all levels.
Alongside his academic studies, Marcus has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and community service. He has completed the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award and has been recognised with an Order of Australia for his contributions to community and charitable service. These experiences reflect his values around service, responsibility, and contributing positively to those around him.
Marcus also holds a Certificate IV in Personal Training and has upskilled in areas such as sports taping and massage therapy. This additional training supports his developing clinical skill set and allows him to contribute meaningfully to patient care while continuing to learn under supervision.
At Spinal and Sports Care, Marcus works closely with the physiotherapy and allied health team as part of his internship, laying the foundation for his transition to practice as a graduate physiotherapist upon completion of his degree.
